Dev Moore

These days, fashion comes in many different styles.

In this era, he films many people wearing a variety of attractive outfits.

This time, we are featuring an interview with Dev and highlighting his style.

Can you introduce yourself to the YEN MAGAZINE audience?

Hi! I’m Dev Moore, a digital video artist based in NYC (and almost Tokyo, Japan haha!).

What inspired you to start your YouTube channel?

I've always been a person that loves to create art from my home and using the web and digital tools. For the first time, I wanted to try my hand at creating art using the interactions between people, as well as just the idea of being outside exploring cities. I love the essence of megacities. They can ironically be quiet and loud at the same time.

You’ve visited Japan many times. What attracts you to the country?

I took Japanese as a language course in high school, and ever since I’ve had an admiration for the unique subcultures that exist across the country.

Could you tell us more about your work in detail?

I share street fashion styles from various cities, mainly focusing on New York.

I also frequently visit Japan, and recently, I went to London.

Along with a friend, I’m active as a 3D artist and run an underground music YouTube channel.

Is there something that holds special importance in your life?

I’m always a fan of an artist doing something new, or re-creating past iterations of artistic expression.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life?

Great question!! I would say Rei Shito, Tyler the Creator, and Kanye West.

You often ask others about their biggest goal in life, so we’d like to ask you: What is your biggest goal?

To explore the world, and other planets. Simple as that.

Also, to continue diving further into exploring as many artist creatives as I can!

Can you tell me about your future plans or prospects?

I'm working on creating docu-series that will show people how to create new forms of art; everything from 3D printed sneakers to virtual reality painting!! It's going to be really fun!!! I also plan to explore underground music scenes as well. And of course, more cities including Brazil, Osaka, Stockholm, and Mexico City!!
